What does Ronald McDonald House Charities® do?

When you’re a child in hospital, having your family close can make all the difference. It can make something really scary a lot more bearable. Ronald McDonald House Charities® helps keep families close and together. They provide accommodation, care and support for families. They provide a home for families of seriously ill children where they can cook, sleep, be together and always be only moments away from their sick child.

How does McDonald’s help our charity partner?

We are the largest corporate supporter of Ronald McDonald House Charities® Ireland. Through a range of initiatives – including Round-Up, Coin Collection, and the Santa Hat Campaign – in 2023 McDonald’s Restaurants of Ireland helped raise an amazing €581,712 for Ronald McDonald House Charities Ireland and over €10 million over the past 20 years.

Ronald McDonald House Charities® do amazing work

The Ronald McDonald House Charity® does amazing work to support parents of seriously ill children at Children’s Health Ireland at Crumlin. The funding to make this amazing work happen comes 100% from donations. Made up by McDonald’s customers and friends of the charity - so thank you very much for helping us change lives.

Every donation makes a difference

Simply pop some money into the Ronald McDonald House charity box, you can find on the till in all our restaurants or visit www.rmhc.ie and donate online. Whatever you can donate will help make a difference.

Since 2004, the Ronald McDonald House has provided accommodation and a caring, supportive environment for over 4,200 families whose children are seriously ill and are hospitalised or undergoing medical treatment at Children’s Health Ireland at Crumlin, Dublin 12.

RMHC Round Up Information

Round Up for RMHC is a new and easier way to donate to Ronald McDonald House Charities® Ireland (RMHC).
This new ‘donate at kiosk ’option gives customers the opportunity to ‘round up’ their purchase to the nearest whole euro or alternatively give a set donation.
All money donated will go directly to Ronald McDonald House Charities® Ireland.
‘Round Up’ is available on the Kiosks at McDonald’s restaurants.
