Jeff began his career with McDonald’s in 1981 as a crew person in Montreal. He managed several restaurants in Montreal and the Toronto Rogers Centre (formerly SkyDome) before moving to the corporate head office.
Since 1990, Jeff has held a variety of positions within the Canadian McDonald’s system. He also spent three years in McDonald’s USA as Director, Business Affairs and Director, Global Business Affairs, before returning to Canada as the Director, Supply Chain. In 2007, Jeff was promoted to Senior Vice President, Supply Chain Canada.
In 2015, Jeff was named Senior Vice President, Restaurant Support Officer. While continuing to provide oversight for Supply Chain, he has led strategic initiatives for the brand, including McCafé, McDelivery and McDonald’s in Walmart.
Since 2020, Jeff has lead McDonald’s Canada’s response to the Covid-19 pandemic, ensuring our actions strengthen the brand in the eyes of Canadians. Jeff was appointed to his current role, Senior Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer, in February 2021. He continues to play an important role in enabling business results and strategy for McDonald’s Canada. In addition, Jeff is the Executive Sponsor of the Canadian Pride Network.
Jeff has received many accolades during his time with McDonald’s and is the recipient of the Outstanding Restaurant Manager Award, Golden Maple Leaf Award, and the President’s Award.
In 2017, Jeff was appointed to the Restaurants Canada board, a national, not-for-profit association representing Canada’s diverse and dynamic restaurant and foodservice industry. He also served as a member of the Alberta Livestock and Meat Agency board, an agency of the Government of Alberta, for eight years and is a former Board member of the University of Guelph, School of hospitality and Tourism.
