McDonald’s Canada Media Statement re: CDC Announcement of E.Coli Outbreak in U.S.

We want to reassure our customers that this issue does not impact McDonald’s operations in Canada in any way. None of the affected products are used in our restaurants in Canada.  The initial findings from the investigation in the U.S. indicate that a subset of illnesses may be linked to slivered onions used in the Quarter Pounder and sourced by a single supplier, not used by McDonald’s Canada. We also source and serve 100% Canadian beef for all burgers on our menu.

Across the McDonald’s System, serving customers safely in every single restaurant, each and every day, is our top priority and something we’ll never compromise on.
