Denise Hansen

Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer

  

Denise Hansen joined McDonald’s Restaurants of Canada as Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in 2023. As CFO, Denise Hansen provides strategic financial oversight and leadership to the company and its franchisees and has overall responsibility for Finance and Insurance.

Denise brings 30 years of diverse experience in Canada, the U.S. and abroad. She joined McDonald's in 2021 as the Vice President of Finance and Controller of the US business, overseeing Financial Planning & Analysis, National Field Finance, and the Real Estate & Development, Economic Policy, Supply Chain and McOpCo Finance Teams.  Before joining McDonald’s, Denise served as the Vice President of International Finance at Conagra Brands, where she was responsible for the company’s international finance organization encompassing operations in more than 50 countries. As the strategic business partner to the President of International, she provided financial leadership, business insights and cross-functional alignment.   

Prior to Conagra Brands, Denise held a variety of key finance roles within Mead Johnson Nutrition, including responsibility for forecasting, technical accounting, external reporting, treasury, tax, supply chain finance and compliance.  She also spent 10 years with office furniture company Herman Miller, overseeing their independent dealer network and acting as the finance lead for company-owned stores. Denise started her career in public accounting at Arthur Andersen. 

A Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Denise earned a Master of Business Administration from Michigan State University and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Calvin University.
