Francesca Cardarelli is an established leader in the Canadian food and beverage industry with a proven track record of driving business strategies and creative marketing programs that grow market share and brand recognition. As Chief Marketing Officer for McDonald’s Canada, Francesca Cardarelli oversees all marketing initiatives for the Canadian market, including brand, menu innovation, media and digital.

Since joining McDonald’s Canada in 2021, Francesca has held several senior roles across the marketing team, including digital strategy, marketing planning and media, and most recently led the Strategy & Insights department. During this time, Francesca was responsible for bringing the MyMcDonald’s Rewards loyalty program to Canada, developing the two-time Effie Award winning Frequent Fryer Program, and elevating data and analytic-led strategic planning to advance enterprise decision making.

Prior to joining McDonald’s Canada, Francesca built a reputation for balancing innovation, creative excellence and agency transformations across her roles at Starbucks, Jamieson Vitamins and PepsiCo Foods.

Francesca’s passion for growth extends well beyond the business and into people, with a focus on talent development and building future marketing leaders in Canada. She is an active member of Toronto Metropolitan University’s Marketing Management Advisory Council and recently joined the founding group of Brock University’s Goodman School of Business Senior Advisory Council.

She also sits on the board of Ronald McDonald House Charities Canada.

Outside of the office, Francesca can be found taking a yoga class, enjoying a run or jumping headfirst into underwater scuba diving.
