McDonald’s Canada turns up the heat with new McSpicy™ Chicken Sandwich

This sandwich’s heat comes from the patty’s signature spice blend and marinade – no hot sauce required

🔥SPICE LOVERS STAND UP🔥 Starting February 11, McDonald's Canada is adding some heat to its menu with the new McSpicy chicken sandwich for a limited time at participating restaurants across Canada. At first glance, the McSpicy may look like your typical chicken sandwich but don’t let looks deceive you. It doesn’t rely on sauce to bring the heat, the sandwich’s heat comes from within. 

Made with 100% Canadian seasoned chicken breast, the McSpicy is marinated, battered and breaded in a fiery seasoning blend. The sandwich is topped off with crispy shredded lettuce and a cooling mayo-style sauce, all served on a toasted sesame seed bun.

"Recognizing our guests' craving for a new spicy chicken sandwich, we looked to McDonald's Australia and Spain for ideas and created the signature McSpicy patty to bring a fiery twist to our much-loved chicken lineup,” said Jeff Anderson, Senior Manager of Culinary Innovation at McDonald’s Canada. “Guests will go on a flavour journey with heat that builds with every bite, perfectly balanced with the crunch of lettuce and creaminess of the mayo-style sauce that will have you wanting more."
