McDonald’s Fun Football Centres 2021
General Terms and Conditions
Introduction
These are the Terms and Conditions for the McDonald’s Fun Football Drop-in Centres 2021 (the “Program”) whereby McDonald’s Restaurants Limited (“McDonald’s”) in collaboration with qualified third-party football coaching providers (“Providers”), will offer to eligible children the chance to participate in fun, free, entry level introductory football sessions.
Each person who applies to the Program (each an “Applicant”) unconditionally accepts and agrees to comply with and abide by these Terms and Conditions and the decisions of McDonald’s, which shall be final and binding with respect to all aspects of the Program.
Eligibility
To participate in the Program each Applicant must be at the time of entry:
a. 18 years or over;
b. a UK resident;
c. able to access the internet;
d. the parent/guardian of a child aged between 5 and 11.
e. compliant with any other eligibility requirements in these Terms and Conditions.
Children must be aged between 5 and 11 years old to attend the McDonald’s Fun Football Drop-in Centres.
McDonald’s reserves the right to verify the information provided in the application to the Program including the connection an Applicant has with a child. At the request of McDonald’s or the Provider, an Applicant must be prepared to provide identification and evidence of their eligibility to apply for a Program.
General Format
a. Each McDonald’s Fun Football Drop-in Centre will take place for 4 weeks in each location across England during April – October 2021.
b. Each McDonald’s Fun Football Drop-in Centre will host one coaching session per week (4 sessions in total) lasting 1 hour each.
c. The McDonald’s Fun Football Drop-in Centres are located across England.
d. Each McDonald’s Fun Football Drop-in Centre will be delivered by a Provider whose FA Qualified coaches will deliver the coaching sessions.
e. The Providers will be the first point of contact for parents / guardians who have any queries surrounding the Fun Football Centres. Contact details for the relevant Provider will be communicated via email to Participants on the Friday before each coaching session takes place.
f. Based on current FA guidelines, no session should contain more than 27 children, and 3 coaches. However, McDonald’s and Providers reserve the right to increase or decrease the capacity of the Drop-in Centres at its sole and exclusive discretion.
g. The maximum ratio of coaches to children should be a maximum 1:10, with the minimum being 1:9.
h. All Fun Football Centres are free to attend for all children.

Registration
a. To apply for the Program, Applicants must truthfully and accurately complete the online entry form on the McDonald’s Website and submit it in accordance with the instructions provided on the form.
b. Registrations for the Fun Football Centres in 2021 will open from 19.03.2021 until the Friday before the last Fun Football Session has been hosted.
c. Parent / guardian must register their child no later than 08:59am on the Friday prior to the weekend of the Fun Football coaching session that they wish their child(ren) to attend via the McDonald’s Football Website –www.mcdonalds.co.uk/funfootball, failing which any application not so received may be deemed void.
d. Children who are registered after the Friday will not be accepted onto that week’s Fun Football session unless there is space in that session.
e. Registration will be carried out on a first-come first-serve basis and each session will have a capacity of 36 children per Centre.
f. Should the Fun Football Centre be full to capacity, McDonald’s endeavors to inform you at least 24 hours in advance and may suggest an alternative option.
g. All parents / guardians register their child at their own risk and McDonald’s, The FA or the Providers cannot be held responsible for any injury sustained.
h. McDonald’s reserves the right to exclude any application including but not limited to the following grounds: false information; breach of these Terms and Conditions; fraudulent or based on misconduct; if in its reasonable opinion, it considers that there is a significant risk that the Applicant may bring the McDonald’s brand into disrepute.
Safeguarding
a. All coaches at the Fun Football Centres will be minimum FA Level 1 Qualified and will have an up to date Enhanced disclosures with the children’s barred list from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
b. There will be a DSO (Designated Safeguarding Officer) onsite at all Fun Football Centres.
c. All coaches at the Fun Football Centres are first aid trained and will be equipped to respond to medical emergencies that may occur.
d. All coaches at the Fun Football Centres are minimum FA level 1 qualified to coach football to young and inexperienced children.

Covid-19 Health & Safety
a. All parents / guardians register their child at their own risk.
b. If you / your child is showing symptoms of the virus or have been in contact with someone displaying symptoms within the last two weeks, then you must stay at home until an NHS practitioner advises you that you no longer need to remain in isolation.
c. All children, coaches and spectating parents / carers must undergo a self-assessment for any Covid-19- symptoms. No-one should leave home to participate in football if they, or someone they live with, has any of the following:
a) A high temperature (above 37.8°C);
b) A new, continuous cough;
c) A loss of, or change to, their sense of smell or taste.
d. Any participants who have been asked to isolate by NHS Test and Trace because they are a contact of a known Covid-19 case, must not exercise outside their home or garden and must not exercise with others.
e. Indoor football is not yet permitted, everything will be held outside.
f. Additional Covid-19 Risk Assessments will be put in place for each venue, and all providers and coaches will be aware of the FA guidance.
g. Social distancing will be observed where possible in all settings before and after the session, and in any breaks. This includes for all coaches, as well as participating players and parents / carers.
h. Any spectating parents / carers at training sessions should be restricted to discrete six-person gathering limits and spread out, in line with wider government guidance.
i. The sharing of equipment will be limited.
Complaints Policy
j. Parents / guardians have the right to make a direct complaint to McDonald’s about any element of the Fun Football Centres Programme that they deem insufficient or do not meet their expectations.
k. Parents / guardians who wish to make a complaint should do so via email to mcd.football@leoburnett.co.uk , clearly stating their name along with comprehensive details of their complaint and which Fun Football Centre their child(ren) attended.
l. If you are worried about a child, it’s vital you report your concerns; there are five ways to do this:
1. To your Designated Safeguarding Lead/Officer – who will follow your safeguarding referral process;
2. To your County FA Designated Safeguarding Officer. A list of all County FA contact details is available at

3. By emailing The FA Safeguarding Team at safeguarding@TheFA.com;
4. If urgent and you cannot contact your Designated Safeguarding Lead/Officer or County FA Designated Safeguarding Officer, you should call the NSPCC 24-hour helpline on 0808 800 5000;
5. If it is an emergency because a child or children are at immediate risk, then call the Police or Children’s Social Care in your area.
m. Parents / guardians should familiarise themselves with all necessary safeguarding provisions by visiting the Safeguarding Info for Parents page (https://www.mcdonalds.com/gb/en-gb/football/fun-football-center-faq.html) and Safeguarding risk assessments that each provider will put in place.
Data Handling
In administering the Scheme, McDonald's will process personal data provided by Applicants. The personal data provided will be processed in accordance with our privacy policy which is available at https://www.mcdonalds.com/gb/en-gb/privacy-policy/full.html.
McDonald's:
(i) will not collect more personal information from the Applicants than needed for the purpose of administering and analysing this Programme and its entries; and
(ii) will only use the personal information provided by the Applicants (and such use may include transferring the Applicant's personal information to McDonald's respective associates, McDonald’s Marketing Agencies and each coaching Provider) for the purposes of administering the Scheme and ensuring its security and monitoring.
a. All data will be stored in a safe and secure unique workspaces and is processed in compliance with data protection laws.
b. Any enquiries about personal information held by Leo Burnett, McDonald's or the Provider, including any request for deletion of personal data, may be made by contacting the Customer Services number notified on the Contact Us section of www.mcdonalds.co.uk and obtaining the contact name and address to which to send an envelope marked "Data Protection Request".
McDonald’s rights
McDonald's may (i) extend any time limit or waive any of the Terms and Conditions where a person might otherwise have been disqualified (without obliging McDonald's to relax the Terms and Conditions on any further occasion for that Applicant or at all for any other person); (ii) terminate, extend or suspend the Program or a specific coaching session at any time where this is necessary or desirable due to supervening circumstances beyond McDonald's control ( including but not limited to unsuitable weather conditions and unavailability of staff and qualified coaches) as it considers necessary at its sole and exclusive ; or (iii) modify the dates of any McDonald’s Fun Football Drop-in Centre as it considers necessary at its sole and exclusive discretion..
