Sarah was promoted to Vice President, General Counsel & Company Secretary in November 2023, and leads the Legal Team across the UK and Ireland.
Sarah has over 20 years’ experience as a lawyer, joining McDonald’s in 2013 as Legal Counsel, following roles at a number of US and top tier law firms as well as PWC. After using her expertise in commercial real estate as part of the real estate and franchising side of our Legal team, Sarah moved across to work on the commercial side of team, supporting the more commercial aspects of the business including Marketing, Supply Chain, Delivery and the People team as Senior Legal Counsel.
Sarah was promoted to Head of Commercial Legal Practice in 2019, before taking on the role of Assistant General Counsel in 2020, and most recently General Counsel & Company Secretary.
Over the past decade, Sarah has been a key member of the Legal department’s leadership team and will continue her journey at McDonald’s in her role on the UK&I leadership team.
Before qualifying as a lawyer, Sarah studied French and Spanish at university which she has used in previous roles including overseas and is a qualified business coach.
Sarah’s favourite McDonald’s menu item is the Double Cheese Burger, but is also partial to any cheese sides that happen to be on the menu.
