Does McDonald's use rainforest friendly, sustainable packaging?
May 22, 2018
McDonald's takes its environmental responsibility. With packaging specifically, we are aiming to reduce its impact through improving design and increasing the use of renewable resources. Changing the design of materials and packaging, can stop waste from happening in the first place. Lighter, thinner packaging means fewer raw materials and less waste. For example, by reducing the size of our bun tray liners we have saved 84 tonnes of paper per year. A simple, common sense idea with a big impact.
