Do McDonald's charge for bags in Wales - and if so, how much?
May 21, 2018
All Welsh retail stores, including McDonald's, have to comply with the Welsh Assembly bag levy. This means that all retailers have to charge for a bag unless the product is unwrapped and has to be put in a bag for hygiene reasons e.g.. an open topped carton of fries. These charges have been imposed by local government and have been in place in Wales for almost 2 years. All bags have a VAT charge imposed but the rest of the charge we donate to charity.
