I joined McDonald’s straight from university. I came from London and McDonald’s was the place to be on a Saturday when I was a kid.

My connection with McDonald’s

I joined at a time of great expansion as a trainee Business Manager, and it was such an exciting time to join. You could say that McDonald’s has been integral to more than just my life. I have a child with complex needs and the response of my colleagues and the support from the business in helping me with their care was so good during an unbelievably challenging time.

What inspired me to become a McDonald’s Franchisee

After years in the marketing department and national PR team, I was racing up and down the country with a family at home. My bond with McDonald’s was so strong that, to be closer to home and still be part of the company, I went full circle and returned to the restaurant. With six restaurants under my wing, it’s a ringing endorsement I’ve stayed part of McDonald’s for my entire career.

My growth

McDonald’s enabled me to fulfil my career ambitions and support my family without compromise. Becoming a Franchisee really was the right fit for me.
